The Rosary... will be recited at St. Bartholomew every Saturday 3:30 PM prior to the 4 PM Mass. All are invited to come and participate.

The Sanctuary Light ...burns this week at St. Bartholomew in memory of Mary Mercurio at the request of Sam and Betty Mercurio, and at St. Paul it burns as an anonymous memorial.

The Bread and Wine ...is given this weekend at St. Bartholomew in memory of Liz & John Tucker by Nan and Josephine. The Gift of Bread and Wine for the weekend of March 7th was given in memory of Spencer McLaughlin at the request of his family.

Gift of Bread & Wine and the Sanctuary Light ...are fitting memorials for a loved one, or in honor of a birthday, anniversary, and even in thanksgiving. These memorials are available at St. Paul and St. Bartholomew. If you are interested, please call Marianne at 337-2215. The candles in the Mater Dolorosa Chapel at St. Bartholomew are also available.

Are you interested in ordering altar flowers... Rosemary Brown coordinates flowers for the altar weekly at St. Paul. If you would like to reserve flowers at St. Paul, please call Rosie at 334-4542. Joanne Baker coordinates the weekly altar flowers for St. Bartholomew. She asks that you remember not just the deceased but also friends and family celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Please call Joanne at 334-4394 to make arrangements.

Protecting God’s Children... Child Sexual Abuse is an abominable act and can NOT be tolerated. The Diocese of Syracuse is committed to the healing of any individual who may have been harmed by a diocesan representative. The 2010 Mass Book ...is now in at the parish office. Scheduling of Masses can be done by phone (337-2215) or stopping at the office at the parish center Mondays from 11 AM to 3 PM, Tuesdays 7 AM to 3 PM, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM to 2PM

2010 Catholic Extension Calendars “SAINTS” ...are available in the foyer at St. Paul and the all purpose room at St. Bartholomew. Thank you to the R. J. Fahy Funeral Home and Wilson Funeral Home for their yearly donation of these calendars to our parishes..

Rosary at St. Bartholomew Church ...ever Wednesday from 1-2 PM. The Altar Rosary Society will sponsor the full rosary (15 decades) for the intentions of the country and end of abortion, the Pope, priest and all religious, and for our families and their individual intentions. This is open to all parishioners of St. Paul and St. Bartholomew. Come join us.

Candy Sale....Our church is having a candy sale that runs until March 7th. There are many Easter and Mother’s Day items to order. For more information or catalog, contact Fran Nial at 334-2429. Your order will arrive before Easter. Half the proceeds will go for church repairs.

Wooden Easter Eggs ...hand-painted from Poland are available in the foyer of St. Paul and the all purpose room at St. Bartholomew this weekend. They are $4 each or 3 for $10. They are also available for purchase at the parish office Monday through Thursday.

Fish Dinners (Fried or Baked) ...will be served the Fridays of Lent (March 12,19, 26) at Holy Family School Cafeteria from 5 to 7PM. For take-outs call 337-2208. Price: adults $8, seniors $7, children 5-12 $6, children under 5 Free.

St. Joseph Day Celebration... Friday, March 19 Following the 12:10 Mass at St. Bartholomew on St. Joseph Day, you are welcome to attend a light lunch at the hospitality room at the parish center which will include traditional sfinge di San Giuseppe in honor of St. Joseph.

Each Wednesday of Lent... Deacon Tim will be leading Evening Prayer, from the Liturgy of the Hours, at St. Bartholomew Church. Please join Deacon Tim at 6:30 PM for a prayerful time of Lenten renewal with the sacred liturgy of the Church.

Lenten Penance Service...Wednesday, March 17, 7 PM St. Paul Church. Extra Priests will be available to hear your confession.

Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers ...at St. Paul and St. Bartholomew, please sign up for assignments on Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday at St. Paul, Good Friday, Easter Vigil at St. Bartholomew and Easter Sunday in the foyer and all purpose room. Please pick up you new
schedules this weekend in the usual location.

Reminder to First Eucharist Parents ...and their children. There will be a First Eucharist Work-shop on Saturday, March 20, beginning at 8:45 AM, at the parish center. All students preparing for First Eucharist (May 1, 2010) and parent/s are asked to attend.

Little Black Books ...for you to use for your Lenten reflections are available in the foyer at St. Paul or the all purpose room at St. Bartholomew.

Can you spare $5?... Did you know that the Ladies of Charity, through Catholic Charities, provides emergency toiletry kits for crime victims? We currently are in need of items for these kits all of which can be found at the local $1 stores. We need small tote type bags, towels, washcloths, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, razors and hairbrushes/combs. Items can be dropped off at either church in the Ladies of Charity baskets. Thank you.
