The Sanctuary Light ......at St. Bartholomew this week is burning in memory of Vincent Cusumano at the request of the Ave Maria Guild, and at St. Paul as an anonymous memorial.

The Altar Flowers ...

The Gift of Bread & Wine....at St. Bartholomew this weekend is given by the Ave Maria Guild in memory of Frank J. Paino.

Gift of Bread & Wine and the Sanctuary Light ...are fitting memorials for a loved one, or in honor of a birthday, anniversary, and even in thanksgiving. These memorials are available at St. Paul and St. Bartholomew. If you are interested, please call Marianne at 337-2215. The candles in the Mater Dolorosa Chapel at St. Bartholomew are also available.

Are you interested in ordering altar flowers... Rosemary Brown coordinates flowers for the altar weekly at St. Paul. If you would like to reserve flowers at St. Paul, please call Rosie at 334-4542. Joanne Baker coordinates the weekly altar flowers for St. Bartholomew. She asks that you remember not just the deceased but also friends and family celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Items Needed For Our Troops... St. Paul and St. Bartholomew are collecting items (boxes in the foyer and all purpose room) to be sent to our troops serving in the Middle East. Suggested items are: men and women sweatshirts, sweatpants, underwear, tee shirts and toiletries.

The 2009 Mass Book is in... Please stop at the parish office to schedule your Masses on Tuesday through Thursday during regular business hours.

Auction Update... Donations already: Massages, Computer Tune Ups, Video Games, Topsoil, Straw, Subscriptions, Bread, Valuable Jewelry. Suggested Donations: Just to get you thinking about possible services that could be donated...lawn mowing, weeding, dinner preparation for certain number, window washing, time share donations, art work.

Do you have any information/history ... pertaining to St. Bartholomew Church? JoAnn Testani is the church historian for St. Bartholomew. She is interested in anything about St. Bartholomew Church i.e. newspaper articletc. Please call her at 336-3513.

$100 Ticket Raffle... we now have new tickets available for our next raffle. The winner will be drawn on Oct 4th at the Auction. Religious Education Program ...Parents: Please complete the Catechetical Registration form above and return to the Religious Education Office, 30 Pleasant Street, by mail or through the collection. Remember classes begin Our Religious Education Program

Classes begin Sep 7, 2008 for K-5 9:55-10:55 AM at Holy Family School Classes begin Sep 21, 2008 for Grades 6-10 6:30-8 PM at Holy Family School To Parents with Kindergarten Children: Religious Education begins in Kindergarten here at St. Paul and St. Bartholomew. Please register your child with Sr. Jackie Sellappan 337-2201.

To Parents with Children in First Grade: In First Grade children begin First Penance preparation. Children are required to have participated in parish religious education class or Holy Family School for at least one year before beginning the direct preparation for the Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist in Second Grade. Please call Sr. Jackie Sellappan.

Sacramental Program for Older Children RCIC There will be classes for older children who have not been baptized, have not received First Holy Communion and/or First Penance. Please call Sr. Jackie Sellappan 337-2201.
